My love for Workplace Health and Safety started early 1998, where I was nominated as Health and Safety Representative in the workplace and I am ever since within the Workplace Health and Safety Environment guess that’s where it all started. My formal qualification is a Baccalaureus Technologiae Degree in Safety Management from the University of South Africa and has attended numerous workplace related health, safety and environmental courses to be able to educate and demonstrate the importance of PPE within the Industrial Workplace.
The Promise: I am of the believe that we as people, leave our places of residence for our workplaces, we make promises to our families that we will see them later the afternoon or the evening.
When commencing our daily duties, we have a responsibility to always be on the lookout for workplace hazards that might affect us and our colleagues – the proverbial brother’s’ keeper. Always remind each other of the importance of PPE.
Why Workplace Safety and the Use of PPE – For me PPE is not just about workplace safety, it is more about Personal Safety and adherence to PPE compliance will ensure that wherever you are, whenever you are donning your PPE you are looking out for #1 YOU!
